In the message that was sent to customers, the following message appears:<\/span><\/p>\n<h1 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/i><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Beginning 1 July, 2018, invoicing and payment services for your accounts based in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa will come from our AWS European entity (known as \u201cAWS Europe\u201d).<\/span><\/i><\/h1>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">What does this mean for practitioners in the AWS platform?<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-size: 18px;\">the user&#8217;s account, as before, is not charged with any fees and the VAT settlement will be in compliance with the law in force in the given country<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-size: 18px;\">15 regional AWS branches will be created, which will deal with calculations related to the applicable VAT tax and issuing invoices.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-size: 18px;\">What a customer must do on its side before 1st of July, is:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-size: 18px;\">update the VAT tax number in the settings on the console<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-size: 18px;\">if the company does not have a tax identification number, it should be updated or confirmed by contact address and billing address<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">All information related to billing or account servicing can be found <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/aws.amazon.com\/legal\/aws-emea\/?ref_=pe_3594660_286095650\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">here<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">AWS updates the FAQ database on an ongoing basis, so it is worth reaching for current knowledge in this area.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Amazon Web Services plans to introduce changes related to the financial and payroll system that until now has been in force in Europe.
