Formunauts is the owner of an application that organizes activities such as foundraising, gathering petition signatures and collecting candidate applications as part of ongoing recruitment efforts.
When we met the client it was using a fairly basic infrastructure on AWS. As the client’s business was scaling heavily, we identified the need to rebuild the architecture so that processes such as IaC, security and monitoring would be automated and, most importantly, the infrastructure would be scalable and highly available.
As usual in such cases, we started the collaboration with an AWS Well Architected review, performed by our solution architects.
The review confirmed the initial diagnosis, the architecture needed redesigning, upgrading, improving security and ensuring high performance and increasing the level of monitoring.
A new architecture design was created and implemented. We built resources while implementing IaC automation using Terraform.
We built Amazon ECS-based clusters for high performance and availability.
In line with the client’s expectations, we increased the level of monitoring and infrastructure security by implementing services such as Amazon Guard Duty, AWS WAF, Amazon Inspector.
The benefit of the new architecture design is the certainty that the architecture is modern and ready to serve many more customers. By using AWS DevOps services, many processes have been automated; e.g. IaC or secuirty processes. Thanks to the DevOps philosophy, the customer saves time, can focus on its core business and optimises costs.
The implementation and automation of security services provides the customer with an ongoing view of infrastructure usage and emerging threats. The customer can react proactively to incidents and, above all, prevent them.
